I am a chao ah lian
Xiaxue - Sorry if you guys have read this before, I've blogged about this a long time ago, and there are only so many childhood photos I have!! My fashion (or what is loosely termed as fashion) has changed a lot over the years, and here are all the various stages I went through! Here goes! Please don't discriminate me after this. 1996:
During Primary six I had long hair, but I snipped it all off due to the fact that I was going to River Valley High School for my secondary education, and that stupid school doesn't allow long hair! 1998 (secondary 2): DON'T LAUGH HOR! Secondary school days were filled with black clothes and branded stuff - trying my best to be a chao ah lian! FENDI HAIRBAND!
Smelly Hairband You see a marble table don't you? . . . . . . . .
GAH!
Secondary 2 also about marked the time that I started to meddle with make-up, and thanks to the stupid SIA girl, my idea of good make-up was electric blue eyeshadow and red lipstick. I later realised it was not that flattering and changed to brown eyeshadow with pale pink lips. I think of myself as being very smart, because there are alot of stupid girls doing the blue eyeshadow thing all their lives, never knowing how awful it looks.
Sonia Rykiel belt, black shiny trenchcoat.
2000:
My ex-boyfriend liked blue I wore loads of blue clothes then, for him. That's his wretched sister, there. I also stupidly thought, well, since I am gonna have short hair throughout my four years in RV, I might as well have a crewcut for once in my life. And so I did. According to my friend Kenny, I looked like David Tao - which literally means I was very handsome... not. 2001:
With my stick-insect ex-boyfriends Jonathan. He got me to go meet him in Tampines from bloody Clementi and broke up with me there! Pissed off or not you tell me?! Travel so far then tell me "Ok let's break, now you can scoot off." Annoying, even up till today! Anyway, those days I was into shimmery stuff which were way too gaudy for school, but I liked it anyway. 2003: I got this somehow wrong perception that satin makes people look rich. 2004: 2005:
IN SHORT, A BOMBSHELL! I honestly think I looked my best during this period, and I am gonna go dye my hair blondish soon again!!!!!!!!!!! Might also consider wearing a golden leafy thing on my forehead everyday.
Look how nice the hair is!
I want it again! Really tough to maintain tho, the blonde + tan look. The hair has to be constantly dyed and retouched once every 3 months, and the tan... even more often. 2007:
Accessories had a lot of primary/basic colours as well as black. I quickly got bored of this look because I can't use all my pink stuff!! NOW... I haven't thought of the next fashion trend to start yet... Any ideas? |
