The Sex Rock Goddesses
Maia Lee - A picture paints a thousand words, they say. What is a blog without pictures? Yes we are not talking about blogs this week but the two go pretty much hand-in-hand. ![]() Sometimes you don't even have to write well - pictures will do the job since they have the ability to trick you into wasting hours of your life away reading someone's tirade or whines. And it makes you feel less stupid digesting some total stranger's stupidity. That is how most blogs work, and they are so popular because the blog owner has loads of pictures in it, with her squeezing out an ingrown armpit hair or her having a stupid wink with a pufferfish face (I can give anyone that look if they really think it's cute - it can last about a week). Who doesn't like to look at pretty things? Maybe the evil minority are looking for someone whom they might think is not as good-looking as themselves; but the majority of us would probably be looking at someone we wish we could be; or have a quality we wish we would have et cetera. And sometimes we just want to know what our friends are doing, for example: And people like to know that they are admired, so we post pictures of ourselves (usually selecting the ‘QC-ed' ones): You just need to look presentable or just, full of personality. And honestly, it takes a lot of courage to dare to pose for the camera, and then to the world. Depending on the medium, your pictures can come off as artistic or distasteful. Let's look at the following pictures: This could very well be very distracting or even distasteful because my boobs are a little too big here and last night's PJs are hanging off the door knob in the background.
Major camwhore moment but I like it.
This remains one of my favourites and yes I took all these pictures myself. However, I stop at calling myself camwhore as I think that term is derogatory and there is nothing wrong with a confident lady loving herself. I have a couple of friends whom I ‘stalk' on Facebook, because I just love looking at their pictures. It isn't that they are all studio shots or extremely nicely taken. It is nice to look at how they posed, what they wore, how they smiled and places they were at. I guess it makes it all interesting because I know them, and sometimes we don't get that comfortable in front of one another as compared to when we're alone with the camera (put your wild thoughts aside first). She's one great friend with an even greater personality and at times adoringly candid, and looking at her pictures remind me of hanging out with her. Yup yup, we met at the tattoo convention and since then I've been trying to keep up with her tattoo collection.
Fiona's blog is at http://www.provocativeaffair.blogspot.com/ Then there is my BFF from the other end of the globe.
I love her pictures!!! I'll let them speak for themselves:
You know how it's like when everything comes alive even when you're miles away. Yes, those piercings too! |
